I appreciated this measured, thorough, informative account of the NZ election results one day after. I particularly liked the appraisal of the election in terms of whether democracy was working well.
Many thanks Grant, that was very quick work. I see the election result as a sign of the maturing of our MMP system, where there is less support for the established FPP parties of National and Labour, and more support for other parties, which are now even gaining electorate seats from them. This bodes well for more voices and opinions in parliament and cabinet, so we get concensus decision making. Derek
