Yet I trust the ABC. Their journalists are alway ferreting out scandals that the relevant federal or state government concede are scandals and then attempt to address. If the ABC find that they’ve missed aspects of an issue, they publish another correcting that. They seem highly responsible journalists and I’m disgusted by the Murdoch media’s and Coalition's attacks on them. Thank goodness we now have a government that will continue to fund them.

It's good that you find ABC to be trustworthy, Kai. Correcting their own omissions shows self-critical, transparent journalism. Astute readers such as yourself really notice these things.

The ABC (and SBS) remains true to itself despite hostile forces attempting to undermine it. Elsewhere, legacy media remains under threat of Murdochisation - Jeff Bezos & the WaPo, CNN under John Malone & David Zaslav, Patrick Soon Shiong & the LA Times, Trump's cuts to VOA, etc. Closer to home, Jim Grenon has been challenged by the journalists' union not to go full Murdoch on NZME.
